Jones was one of several youngsters on the verge of the Shrewsbury Town first team lasts season. He recovered from a hernia operation to make a handful of senior appearances before spending a month on loan at Conference club Southport at the turn of the year. He is a right-sided defender who is composed on the ball and always looks to push forward. Jones was released in the summer.
