Matt Targett was selected on Southampton's subs bench for the first time on 24 September 2013 in a League Cup tie against Bristol City.
His Saints contract was extended to June 2019 in December 2014 and to June 2022 in August 2017.
After a loan spell, he joined Newcastle United in June 2022 with a four-year contract.
