A near ever-present for Leyton Orient in 2000-01, Matt was a key figure in helping the team into the Play-Off final. An accomplished right back and an excellent man-marker he is difficult to knock off the ball and sets up many attacks with his fine surging runs. Matt made his international debut in the autumn for Barbados, featuring in World Cup qualifiers against Guatemala and the USA, and was deservedly voted 'Player of the Year' by the Os supporters for the second season in a row.

Matt's contract was extended to June 2004 in May 2003.
