Hocking enjoyed two extended spells in the centre of defence for York City in 2000-01 and acquitted himself very well on both occasions.
A versatile player who has previously played at right back and on the right side of midfield, he has good pace and reads the game well.
Hocking had his Boston United contract extended by a further year in April 2003.
