Pemberton signed for Mansfield Town in the summer of 2000 after a spell in the Unibond League with Bradford Park Avenue and immediately slotted into the left back berth at Field Mill.
He produced several impressive displays but then suffered a knee injury at the end of August that sidelined him for three months.
Returning to the line-up he had just settled in again when the injury flared up again and he faced another lengthy spell on the sidelines.
He is a versatile player who has also appeared as a striker in the past.
