Once recognised as one of the top goalkeepers in the Premiership, Mart produced some stunning performances in the first half of 2000-01, and his injury against Charlton Athletic was a big blow to Derby County at the time.
His commanding presence in the area and ability to intercept crosses was especially important in a season when, due to a run of injuries, he was playing behind a constantly changing defence.
He returned from injury towards the end of the campaign and made some vital saves at Manchester United in the win that guaranteed Premiership survival for the Rams.
The first-choice 'keeper for Estonia, he added to his already considerable collection of caps during the 2000-01 season.
