Moved to Aberdeen in March 1979 and returned to Newcastle United via Celtic in August 1989. A very skilful striker, Mark had two spells on Tyneside. After an initial difficult spell as a raw youngster, he returned from Aberdeen - having been under the wing of Sir Alex Ferguson - as the finished lethal product.
