As a young full-back, Mark played just once for United in a UEFA Champions League match at Deportivo La Coruna when he put through his own goal in a 0-2 defeat.
Mark joined Sunderland in July 2004 with a three-year contract but was made available for transfer in May 2005.
He joined Hull City the following month on a two-year contract but was made available for transfer in May 2006.
After a loan stint, Mark joined Yeovil Town in August 2006 with a one-year contract.
