This vastly experienced midfielder made a surprise return to the Football League last March when he left Conference club Doncaster Rovers to join Hull City's charge towards the Third Division play-offs. He partnered Gary Brabin in the Tigers' engine room and soon showed that he was another successful capture by Brian Little, impressing with his calm authority in the centre of the park. Mark is a versatile player who can also play at full back if required. His Boothferry contract was not renewed in May and he subsequently joined Shrewsbury Town.
