This experienced striker produced some sterling performances for Northampton Town in 2000-01 although it took him a while to find his goal-scoring touch. Strong and determined on the ball his talents make him an ideal choice to play behind the forwards but the Cobblers' injury problems meant that he was often used as an out-and-out striker.
A day before his 36th birthday, Marco announced his retirement from senior football due to a knee injury.
