Like his twin brother Michal, Marcin made his name in domestic football with Polonia Warsaw before moving to Belgian club Beveren and then Mouskroen.

As a promising striker, he made his international debut against France in February 2000.

Most of his appearances came as a second half substitute where he has achieved some success, netting three goals in his country's 2002 World Cup qualifying campaign.

Marcin also came off the bench to score in Poland's 3-1 defeat of USA in their last game at the 2002 World Cup finals.
