Full name is: Cipriano Dos Santos Marcelo.

Marcelo began the 2000-01 season as a regular in the Birmingham City team, scoring a fine 25-yarder at Nottingham Forest, but then suffered injury niggles and was in and out of the side. Prior to the defeat by Wimbledon in April, the Blues had won nine and drawn two of the 11 games in which he had started. A striker who is a real trier, he comes alive in the penalty box and many observers felt he deserved an extended run in the team.
