Marc Richards is a bustling old-fashioned-style centre forward with a proven record as a goalscorer at junior level.
Previously capped by England Under-17s, he was a regular in the Under-18s in 2000-01 and gave an encouraging performance on his first-team debut for Blackburn Rovers in the Worthington Cup Third Round tie against West Ham United.
Marc joined Barnsley in August 2005 with a one-year contract.
He joined Port Vale in July 2007 with a contract to June 2009 that was extended to June 2010 in August 2008 and to June 2012 in May 2010.
Marc re-joined Northampton Town in July 2014 with a three-year contract that was extended to June 2018 in May 2017 before it was cancelled in January 2018.
He joined Swindon Town in January 2018 with a contract to June 2019.
