The big central defender joined Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan from Ipswich at the beginning of 2000-01 and made a solid debut against Burnley when he helped support a young Joleon Lescott in the back line.

However after two more first-team appearances, he headed back to East Anglia.

Manu subsequently joined Sheffield United on the transfer deadline day, signing on a match-by-match basis.

His single appearance for the Blades came when he appeared as a half-time substitute at Gillingham and was employed out of position as a striker, but nevertheless he gave a competent display and came close to scoring.

An experienced centre half, he is very effective when bringing the ball out of defence.
