An adequate deputy his appearances for the national team have been severely limited by the dominance of Magnus Hedman. He began his career in Sweden Oddevold before moving to Norway to play for Lillestrom in 1997. It was while he played here that he made his international debut in January 1998 against the USA. He moved to Bran Bergen for the 1999 season and continued to be a regular member of the Swedish national squads. He left Bran Bergen and Norway to play in Denmark for FC Copenhagen for the 2001-2002 season. He is unlikely to start but is a more than adequate back up.
