The St Kitts and Nevis international became a Bury regular since joining them in the autumn of 1998. He had spells with Guiseley and Hyde United between his two Football League clubs, joining Scarborough from Yorkshire Amateurs. Lutel found his opportunities severely limited at Bury in 2000-01 and was mostly used from the subs' bench. His best performance of the season came in the 1-1 draw with Wycombe at the end of April when he used his skill and pace to good effect when running at opposition defenders. The experienced wing-man returned to non-League football with Accrington Stanley in July 2001.
