Lucas Akins joined Tranmere Rovers in August 2010 with a one-year contract that was extended to June 2012 in July 2011.
He joined Stevenage in August 2012 with a three-year contract before he was made available for transfer in June 2014 when he joined Burton Albion with a two-year contract that was extended to June 2018 in June 2016 and to June 2019 in September 2017.
