At the age of 16, Louis Reed was selected on Sheffield United's subs bench for the first time on 1 March 2014 in a League One game at Milton Keynes Dons.
He became United's youngest-ever player in a league game on 8 April 2014 when, at the age of 16 years and 257 days, he was introduced as a second-half substitute in the 1-0 victory over local rivals Rotherham United.
Stephen Hawes (17 years and 47 days) was the previous youngest, also making his debut as a substitute in 1995.
Louis signed his first pro contract in August 2014. It ran to June 2017 and was extended to June 2018 in July 2015.
