Pinamonte began the 2000-01 campaign on the subs' bench at Brentford making the starting line-up for the game against Bournemouth in September when he produced a particularly good performance scoring once himself and setting up two goals for Andy Scott. He subsequently dropped out of the squad and in February he went on loan to Third Division Leyton Orient. He scored on his debut in a3-0 win over Halifax and added another in the victory at Lincoln but with the return of injured players to fitness he lost his place and returned to Griffin Park.
