A product of the Barnet youth system, Lee spent much of his first season as a professional developing in the reserve team before spending a month on loan at Ryman League club Grays Athletic early in the new year. He made his Football League debut last February when he made a late appearance from the subs bench in the Bees 3-0 victory over Darlington.
