Although he showed somewhat inconsistent form in the early part of the 2000-01 campaign, Lee Naylor retained his place in the Wolverhampton Wanderers' team and eventually came good in the second half of the season.

Perhaps his best performance was against Grimsby Town when he produced an all-action display, excelling in both defence and attack.

A very promising young left back, he was voted 'Player of the Season' at Molineux.

Although he was a regular in the England Under-21 squad during the campaign, it was not until the summer that he won further caps, appearing against Mexico and Greece.

Lee's contract at Wolverhampton Wanderers was extended to June 2007 in August 2004.

He joined Celtic in August 2006 with a three-year contract in a player exchange deal involving Charlie Mulgrew.

Lee joined Derby County in February 2014 with a contract to June 2014 that was then extended to June 2015.
