After a disappointing initial season at Derby County, Lee Morris must have been hoping for more chances to shine at first-team level in 2000-01.
However, despite playing in the opening game against Southampton, he found himself having to settle for a series of substitute appearances as the campaign wore on.
A left-sided striker, his key strengths are his lightning pace and an ability to ghost past defenders with the ball.
Loaned to Huddersfield Town in March to gain regular first-team football, he made an instant impact at the MacAlpine Stadium by scoring on his debut in an away defeat at local rivals Barnsley.
Operating either as a striker or on the wing, he worked hard and linked well with his team-mates before returning prematurely to Pride Park due to an injury crisis and he then impressed in a run of games in the successful battle against relegation.
Lee joined Leicester City in February 2004 with a contract to June 2006 that was cancelled in April 2006.
He joined Hereford United in July 2009 with a one-year contract that was cancelled in April 2010.
