Jenkins had his most productive season to date at Swansea City in 2000-01 and was a regular in the first-team squad for most of the season before picking up a hip injury in mid-April. A competitive midfield player with tremendous stamina and a high work rate he showed his versatility by occasionally taking on the left back role. Jenkins again featured regularly for Wales at Under-21 level winning a further four caps.
Jenkins re-joined his former Swans boss Jan Molby at Kidderminster Harriers in December 2003 with a contract up to June 2005.
