A former England Youth international, Lee enjoyed an excellent time for Reading in the first half of 2000-01 when he was a regular in the first team but he lost his place following a dip in form at the turn of the year and rarely featured afterwards.
A creative midfield player, he sets up openings for others and contributes the occasional goal himself.
He was out of contract at the end of the campaign and was released by the Royals.
Lee's contract at Plymouth Argyle was extended to June 2007 in April 2006, then to June 2008 in May 2007.
