Lee Glover

Glover signed for Macclesfield after a successful pre-season trial but took time to settle in at the start of the 2000-01 campaign. Although not always the first-choice striker, he eventually began to show his value and finished up as the club's leading scorer, his tally including some crucial strikes, notably a last-gasp penalty at Hartlepool to level the scores and two splendid goals in the win at Barnet. He is a skilful forward who holds the ball up well on the edge of the box, turns defenders quickly and can certainly move up a gear when going for goal. Away from football Glover is in his third year of a four-year part-time course studying for a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Science.

Glover's contract with Macclesfield was cancelled in September 2002 leading to his move to Mansfield Town on a non-contract basis before teaming up with his former Forest colleague Nigel Clough at Burton Albion.
