Born in Norwich but raised in Australia following his parents' decision to emigrate Lee and his family returned to East Anglia in time for him to win a three year Academy place. Keith Webb described him as an attacking midfielder with a sweet right foot. Nonetheless he was released at the end of the 2000-2001 season without making his first team debut.
