Nogan spent a frustrating time at Cardiff City last season failing to start a match in the club's promotion campaign. Opportunities for regular football were few and far between as the Bluebirds' reserves did not play in a regular competition and he had to be content with irregular outings from the subs' bench for the senior team. His only goal of the campaign came in the 3-2 win over Hartlepool in November when he clinched a remarkable victory with his injury-time effort. Nogan is a lively striker who is a proven goalscorer. He is the younger brother of York's Lee Nogan.
Nogan announced his retirement in September 2002 due to an achilles injury.
