Darlow continued to make good progress in the York City reserves and juniors last season and made just one senior appearance, coming on from the subs' bench for the final 30 minutes of the home defeat at the hands of Exeter City in February. He is a promising young left winger with good pace but has been advised by York City that he will not be offered a new contract for the 2002-03 season.
