Miller was signed by Exeter City from Newquay in 1989 and he returned to St James' Park in August 2002 on a non-contract basis prior to agreeing a two-year contract but left for Bristol Rovers following the Grecians relegation to the Conference.
Miller joined Southampton in February 2006 originally on non-contract terms.
He signed a one-year contract with the Saints in June 2006.
