Keen joined Macclesfield Town on a one-year contract at the start of the 2000-01 season and, after taking time to settle in, he teamed up with Chris Priest to form an effective partnership in the centre of the park.
He is a hard-working attacking midfielder who is adept at scoring long-distance goals when picking up stray balls on the edge of the box.
Keen made his 450th League appearance during the 2000- 2001 season and is working towards his UEFA 'A' coaching certificate.
He was appointed assistant manager of the Macc reserve team in January and later signed an extension to his contract at Moss Rose.
Keen returned to West Ham United in July 2002 to become the Hammer's Under-17 coach.
