England international (63 caps) Kevin Keegan's honours with Liverpool included the 1st Division Championship in 1973, 1976 and 1977, European Cup winner 1977, FA Cup winner 1974 and runner-up 1977 and UEFA Cup winner in 1973 and 1976 and Football Writers Association Footballer of the Year in 1976. He joined Liverpool as a youngster forming a great partnership with John Toshak before SV Hamburg snapped him up.
Quite simply, a living legend on Tyneside. Both as a player and manager, he twice saved Newcastle from the clutches of the Third Division. In the twilight of his playing career, KK's craft and enthusiasm lifted the Magpies in to the First Division before dramatically announced his retirement. After eight years out of the game, he returned to take on his first managerial task with United in dire straits. The Keegan teams reflected his endeavour and charisma as Newcastle, in being transformed in to one of the top clubs in the Premiership, produced some of the most exciting football ever seen in the English game.
