Hartlepool's hard-working front-runner was finally rewarded with a regular first-team place in 2000-01. He steadily grew in confidence and scored regularly throughout the campaign, finishing with a tally of 17 league goals, thus making him the club's most successful striker for 10 years. Crucially for Pool he appeared in the disappointing end of season play-offs against Blackpool when not fully fit. He is a big strong striker who works hard and has good pace.
After an initial loan spell, Kevin joined Carlisle United in October 2003 with a contract upto June 2005.
