Huddersfield Town's only summer purchase, Kevin joined on a one-year contract and quickly found himself as the Terriers' first-choice striker.
He was soon on the goal-scoring trail with a wonderful strike in the away victory at Sheffield Wednesday but then suffered a hamstring injury that hampered him in the early part of the season.
He scored regularly in the first half of the campaign but less often after Christmas, even so he finished as the club's joint-top scorer with Delroy Facey.
A hard-working striker, he holds the ball well and is a good passer, linking well with others around him.
In February 2003, Kevin's Queens Park Rangers contract was extended to June 2005.
It was then extended to June 2007 in March 2005.
