2000-01 was Kelvin Davis' first as number one keeper for Wimbledon following the departure of Neil Sullivan to Tottenham Hotspur.

He grabbed the opportunity enthusiastically and went on to produce a string of fine performances throughout the campaign.

A fine shot stopper who possesses a powerful kick, Kelvin's progress was recognised when he came runner-up in the supporters' poll for 'Player of the Season'.

Kelvin joined Ipswich Town in July 2003 on a two-year contract before joining Sunderland in June 2005 in a four-year deal.

He joined Southampton in July 2006 with a three-year contract that was extended to June 2012 in July 2009, to June 2014 in July 2011 and to June 2016 in March 2013.
