Was Reading's first player to score a 'golden goal' when he netted the winner against Barnet in the Auto Windscreens Shield. Keith featured in the opening game of the 2000-01 campaign for Reading but thereafter he was very much a forgotten figure at the Madejski Stadium. In October he joined Colchester United and impressed during his spell at Layer Road after scoring on his debut at Port Vale. He subsequently returned to the Royals with a knee injury but failed to win a return to the first team and was allowed to join the U's once again in March, this time on a short-term contract. However his second spell at Layer Road proved to be somewhat less successful and he was released before the end of the season. Keith is a big bustling target man with a wealth of experience.
