| Date of birth | 14 October 1965 |
| Place of birth | Dulwich |
| Nationality | English |
| Weight | 71 kg |

| Position | Midfielder |
Jones missed the start of last term for Reading after suffering a hamstring injury in a pre-season friendly at Kingstonian and it was not until the end of September that he returned to first-team action. Used very much as a squad player his vast experience proved invaluable in the centre of the park for the Royals although he contributed just one goal, netting in the 4-0 FA Cup victory over Grays Athletic. A hard-working competitive midfield player he can be very effective when used in a man-to-man marking role.
