A graduate of Denmark's Under-21 side, Kasper Bøgelund has profited by playing alongside some of Holland's most gifted players since moving to PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 1999.
As with Rangers' Peter Lovenkrands, he made his full international debut against Saudi Arabia in February.
Although preferred in his defensive role, Kasper has also regularly played in midfield, so his versatility appeared to give him a good chance of making the subs' bench in Japan and South Korea.
