The captain of Stoke City's Under-19 academy team, Karl Henry stepped up to make his debut in senior football when he came off the subs' bench for the final 20 minutes of the LDV Vans Trophy tie against Walsall.
A talented midfield player, he is comfortable on the ball and has the vision to open up defences.
Having signed an extension to his contract during the 2000-01 season, he went on to make his debut for England Under-18s against Switzerland at the end of May 2001.
Karl signed a new one-year contract in May 2004 which was extended to June 2006 in September 2004.
His Wolverhampton Wanderers contract was extended to June 2011 in October 2007, to June 2013 in May 2009, to June 2014 in January 2011 and to June 2016 in August 2012 before he was made available for transfer in June 2013.
Karl joined Queens Park Rangers in July 2013 with a two-year contract that was extended to June 2016 in July 2015 and to June 2017 in June 2016.
He joined Bolton Wanderers in September 2017 with a contract to June 2018.
