Ex German International who was part of Germany's World Cup winning success of 1990. Karlheinz had successful spells with Werder, Lazio and Borussia Dortmund before trying his luck in England. Great target man who brings other players into play with his intelligent passing and running off the ball. Could still do a good job in professional football as a player with great ability and experience. Injuries blighted Karl-Heinz's first full season at Fulham, while the goal-scoring exploits of Messrs Saha, Boa Morte and Hayles restricted him mostly to substitute appearances when he was fit. Even so he played a very important part as Jean Tigana rotated his strikers later in the season and headed a vital clinching goal in the 2-0 win at Queens Park Rangers. Temporarily managed Fulham in early 2000.
