Full name is: Juan Francisco Garcia.

He began his career in the lower leagues with Levante before moving to his hometown club Valencia in 1997.

A talented left back his performances were restricted by the form of Amadeo Carboni and moved to his current club Celta Vigo in the summer of 1999.

He made his international debut in March 2000 against Italy and has been a squad member ever since.

He is regarded as one of the best left backs in Spain and with the loss of Sergi Barjuan to injury he will start for Spain in the World Cup Finals.
