Sara began his career in his native Argentina with Almirante Brown and Nueva Chicago before enjoying a spell in Europe with Czech outfit Hradec Kralove. On returning to South America he joined top Paraguayan club Cerro Porteno prior to signing for Dundee in July 2000. A big, powerful striker with a neat touch he initially arrived on a 12-month loan deal but was a great success, netting 17 goals in his first season to earn a permanent move to Dens Park.
