Josh Lillis, who is the son of former Scunthorpe United player Mark Lillis, signed his first pro contract with the Iron in May 2006.
It ran to June 2007 and was later extended to June 2012 in September 2009.
Josh joined Rochdale in July 2012 with a two-year contract that was extended to June 2016 in May 2014, to June 2018 in May 2016 and to June 2020 in January 2018.
