As a young full back, Jordan joined Darlington from Oldham Athletic in October 2000 and made his first team debut as a substitute at Cardiff City later that month.
He then started the next two games but, despite a number of appearances on the bench, he failed to get any further opportunities of senior experience with the Third Division club.
