Jon Cullen

Cullen was a regular in the Peterborough United squad until October 2000 when he lost his place following a change of formation by manager Barry Fry. He rarely featured in the following months and after undergoing a cartilage operation at the beginning of the year he joined Third Division Carlisle United shortly before the transfer deadline. He played regularly for the Cumbrians in the closing stages of the season and was unlucky not to get on the score sheet on his home debut against Torquay. An elegant and cultivated midfield player, he is comfortable either in a central role or a position on the left-hand side.

Cullen went on the transfer list at Peterborough in October 2001 before his contract was cancelled by mutual consent in July 2002 going on to join Darlington on a monthly contract.
