A brilliant individualist who fitted into a team pattern, Johnny formed part of possibly United's greatest ever forward line (1946-49). Sold for record fee in acrimonious circumstances in 1949. Later the same year the record was broken when Eddie Quigley moved from Sheffield Wednesday to Preston, Quigley being Morris' uncle!.
