John Brayford, who played for Manchester City and Stoke City during his youth career, joined Crewe Alexandra in September 2008 with a three-year contract.
He joined Derby County in May 2010 with a three-year contract that was extended to June 2014 in August 2011.
John joined Cardiff City in July 2013 with a four-year contract.
He joined Sheffield United in January 2015 with a contract to June 2018 that was cancelled in August 2017.
After a loan spell, John re-joined Burton Albion in August 2017 with a two-year contract.
