Andrews had a disappointing campaign for Mansfield in 2000-01 when he was unable to produce consistent form and spent a lengthy period out injured. His best performance of the campaign came in the 3-0 victory Worthington Cup at Wrexham when the Stags turned a first leg deficit around to record a 3-1 aggregate win. A right-sided or central defender he was made available on a free transfer in the summer.
