Although approaching the veteran stage of his career, Joey Beauchamp was a regular member of the Oxford United first-team squad in the 2000-01 season and continued to show that he is a potential match winner.

He sometimes struggled to find his best form but also produced some excellent displays and netted two brilliant goals - a long-range cracker at Walsall and a 30-yarder in the 2-1 win at Swansea City in November.

Still very much a tricky winger, Joey netted a total of seven goals and the United fans hoped for a few more seasons from one of their most loyal players.
