This brave and agile goalkeeper enjoyed a highly successful eighth season with Walsall in 2000-01.

Jimmy Walker gave one of his finest-ever displays in the Worthington Cup tie against West Ham United and made a vital penalty save in the late-season game at Stoke City when a Play-Off place hung in the balance.

His safe handling was an inspiration to the whole side and he was selected for the PFA Division Two team.

Jimmy has overtaken his mentor Mick Kearns as the goalkeeper with most appearances in the history of the club.

Jimmy's contract at West Ham United was extended to June 2007 in September 2005, then to June 2008 in September 2006.

He returned to Walsall in October 2010 with a three-month contract that was extended to June 2011 in January 2011, to June 2012 in June 2011 and to June 2013 in July 2012 before it was cancelled in February 2013.
