Chelsea paid out a club record £15million to secure the services of the former Leeds United striker in July 2000.
Jimmy immediately paid back a slice of that fee on his debut at Wembley when he ran the Manchester United defence ragged in the Charity Shield and netted the opener in Chelsea's 2-0 victory.
A powerful striker with a hard shot he formed an impressive partnership with Eidur Gudjohnsen.
Jimmy joined Middlesbrough in July 2004 with a two-year contract.
He joined Cardiff City in August 2007 in a one-year deal.
